Heanet runs an rsync SERVER - it's up to your CLIENT what options you
use. Of course there are numerous configurable items on the server
side but they're really not the client's business - they mainly relate
to what's made available by the server, who's allowed to connect to
it, and what they're allowed to do (read / write etc.) . Do man
rsync.conf on your local machine to see the range of things which can
be configured on a server.
All that said, this is what I currently get in response to
rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer (54)
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at /
and I've tried from a couple of places, so perhaps it's borked.
