Kicker seems to have been replaced with a gadget similar to what OSX
has (move the mouse to a corner of the screen or press shift-whatever
and you get thumbnails of all windows which you can click to switch
to).Annoying is that desktop icons now become desktop widgets (Vista
style), and this doesn't work properly yet. Also, not all applications
are available for 4.0 yet. Another annoyance is that KDE 4.0 wastes
too much screen real estate by using larger fonts, icons and all sorts
of other eye candy.
I run hardy with KDE 3.5 and 4.0 installed in parallel, which allows
me to decide what I want to use when I login to KDE. But 4.0 is far
from being ready for real use.
