Hi.
I have a Zyxel modem for broadband access - obviously connected to phone
circuit via a filter at one end and to desktop pc via cable to network
port at other.
This machine is dual boot: Ubuntu "Hardy Heron". and Win XP for games...
Just bought a Belkin Wireless G router to allow daughter to access the
internet via her new (Win Vista :-( ) laptop.
The installation required rejigging cables so that the topology is phone
system=modem=router=pc.
All works fine when WinXP is booted on the desktop pc. daughter can
access internet wirelessly and desktop pc can still access internet.
When I reboot desktop pc to linux, not unreasonably, the network access
is lost and the desktop pc has no internet access.
No surprise as obviously linux network settings need to be changed.
I've Googled and looked on Ubuntu help pages and not found much help on
this.
Can anyone advise?
Thanks
John
