[ILUG] How to list firefox extensions?

Dear gurus,

How can one determine the firefox and/or google
extensions or add-ons (are they the same thing?)
in use?

I was trying out the Unofficial Google Translate
which you can get by googling "jimmyr translate".
This does not work for me, but he says in his notes
that this may be because "It's possible another firefox extension
has already reserved alt clicking".

How can I find which firefox extensions are in use,
and which of them may have "reserved alt clicking"?

I know I can list plugins by entering "about:plugins" as address.
Are they the same as extensions?

[I've installed "hyperwords" which does do translation
of words or phrases on web-pages,
but it is something of overkill,
and the Unofficial Google Translate seems as if it would be
more appropriate for me, if it worked.]

Any enlightenment gratefully received.
