If the TV does it, the only solution is to make the desktop have a safe
border. Few drivers can do this. Generally only supported on Component/
RGB/S-video/Composite PAL or NTSC secondary outputs not on DVI / VGA

Some use audio cable from a sound card or Mobo sound. Others have built
in sound card, which need usually specific drivers.
Some DVI only versions have figured a way to put audio on the DVI
connector and then a special DVI - HDMI cable or adaptor works with
sound.
