If you're running a network that needs STP (i.e. any non-trivial 
network) it's best to leav it on port-fast.

De-configuring STP on ports is a recipe for someone to accidently 
plug create a loop and melt your network in a potentially very 
tedious to debug way. This risk increases with network size and users 
obviously.

Unless you meant something else..
