Nope - just happy enough with what I've used, and haven't heard
any horror stories about the Dell PERC.

It's a time/money/supportability/ease-of-use trade-off. The decisions
I would make for a mission-critical production server, a non-critical
server, a home machine for me and a home machine for a non-technical
user are all different.
