For same spectrum, because Mobile has to use omni-directional poor
aerials and low Modem TX power and Fixed uses suitable directional
higher gain aerials the Mobile performance varies hugely with time and
Fixed doesn't other than normal contention, and Fixed Wireless has x10
to x20 AVERAGE performance for same spectrum.
Fixed tends to be ethernet interface and Mobile uses USB, Mini-PCI,
ExpressCard, PCMCIA and may not always have Linux drivers or good linux
drivers.
