Fw: [ILUG] Sound Failing To Initialise (Ubuntu)

Thanks so far guys, as it happens this laptop is using a VIA chipset and no
it's not just muted. I've checked that already. There seems to be duplicate
devices IE it's recognising the card twice.. as two seperate entries.

Haven't tried with an older Kernel though... maybe I should give that a go
first to pinpoint the problem.
