I just got it working, it was dead easy -- worked first time round.

(extract and make it)
tar xjf broadcom-wl-22.214.171.124.tar.bz2
sudo ../../b43-fwcutter-011/b43-fwcutter -w "$FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DIR"
Then it magically apeared in network manager.

Solved by a bottle of Chianti reserva 2005 (Familae Piccini), lovely wine

Now what about the itunes replacement? What are the kids using these days?
Also pics and possibly video apps?
The machine is well more responsive then vista basic, no flashy flashy hdd
for starters. Bet the battery lasts longer too.
