If you google for :dell bios.exe
various solutions are presented on the first page.
I'm not sure you can use flashrom to write
any of the extracted files.

But I would be interested if after
using the Dell update util you could
read the bios using flashrom and compare
against the extracted files to see what
the differences were if any.
