[ILUG] rpc problem

I am setting up a new server and am a little confused. I am installing 
NIS and NFS. I can run rpcinfo on the server and look at the net work 
interfaces with

rpcinfo -p 127.0.0.1 - I can see all the rpc services.

rpcinfo -p 192.168.100.1 - I can't see any services.

I have checked with iptables on and off - same result

I have checked my hosts.allow config and I have

portmap: 127.0.0.1
portmap: 192.168.100.0/255.255.255.0

So why can't I see anything on the 192.... address?
