The classic K A Stroud "Engineering Mathemathics" has a chapter
introducing matrices. The best self learning book(s) for engineering maths.
Seconds hand copies should be very easy to get.
As far as I can recall the "advanced engineering mathematics" by K A
Stroud has more advanced matrices if the first book is not advanced enough.
