Eh no :) It might be appropriate as a contrib/ to findutils,
but I'm not sure it's general enough.

While we're on the subject, I did add a couple of my scripts¹
to coreutils, namely `timeout` and `truncate`. timeout was
actually prompted by a question on this list :)

Also there are scripts that are quite general
that can reuse underlying coreutils. For example
We're considering adding a contrib/ dir to coreutils
to cater for stuff like a replace² script.
