Ok, DVB-T adapters will not work with DVB-T2 transmissions, because 
the low-level encoding formats have been changed (the trellis 
encoding format, it can use new FEC codes, etc). All that is done in 
hardware with the DVB dongles I have.

However, if IE they're doing something like MPEG-4 video encoding 
over a the existing DVB-T low-level interface, then you might still 
expect it to work with Linux.
