That is of course a matter of opinion ... lol.... sometimes 315 euro
is a small price to pay for a double click clean install and don't
pretend you haven't been there !!!!! The freedom to fork going forward
though is always an issue to consider though, obviously wouldn't like
to have to dump a whole bunch of work because of a proprietary format
being dumped by the author.

Ok... so far we have in no particular order....

qcad
sweet home 3D
draftsight
OpenOffice.org draw (?)
Bricscad

There goes my free time.... thanks for all the input, will give all
these a whirl and give you some feedback including whether or not a
cad ignorant novice can easily throw down a floorplan in them!!!
