In that case, check these QCad demos out:

Also, you may find the text input for drawing way quicker, e.g. for a 10
metre line horizontal, left to right, in the console on QCad you enter
(once you have an origin, and presuming your measuremnt units are in
cm):
@100<0
Or for a vertical line, bottom to top:
@100<90

The angle changes from 0 to 359 in an anticlockwise direction.

If you can find any pre-drawn parts in DXF format QCad can import them.
