[ILUG] UPC Cisco Modem\Router Questions?

In my experience the firmware is horribly locked down: I don't know if those
pages are at all accessible. If you're only using the router for internet
access and not UPC's phone service you can but it in bridge mode and leave
all the routing functionality to your Netgear box.

Here in our house we're subscribed to the phone service so I set up a second
subnet 192.168.2.* for all the devices with a Linksys box which is the only
client on the UPC's 192.168.1.* with all the firewall features disabled and
that has worked thus far for me.

Quite possible someone else on the list will have a better solution as what
I have seems a little hackish

Just my €0.02
