The fact that purpose of domain names is not to create websites.

What a lot of the current discussion over domain names miss is that DNS
was not designed with the Web in mind.

If you want to do a site stating your undying devotion to a member of
boyzone, there is no particular reason that you need to do it within the
context your own domain name - the purpose of the DNS is to find things
and companies and institutions, not for pointless and moronic fan sites.
