Without wanting to irritate by continuing discussion of the Matrix.
It is the most unbelievably stylish film since pulp fiction. 
I can't understand the complaints about the plot. It is sci-fi for
crying out loud. Sure it has some holes in it. The bug remover is my
favorite.
I also like the way that they can't download and upload through the
mobile network. Bloody 9600bps does it again....

It definitely has a plot. The dialogue is deep in places and a total
waste of time in places as all you really want to do is wallow in the
rather cool images and the energetic soundtrack.

The main problem is with Keanu's rampant weirdness. Even in this pretty
damn weird role , he is just too weird. Enlish is still alien to him and
you expect him to start playing air guitar with his machine gun ,
perhaps shouting 
"excellent" or something along those lines....

I reckon that it is all about visual style and it scores tops . 
It is full or references to other movies and books from Alice in
Wonderland , 
the wizard of Oz to westerns like a few dollars more....

I can't see how the phantom menace is going to live up to this...
