The thing is that freephone costs the providor a certain amount per call, if
they can shift the call charges to the consumer, who won't really notice,
they save thousands of pounds a month.
AIB were always 1850 / 1890, the setup / help line is the 1800 one (low
volume)
BOI (IIRC) was a 1800 number to set up, and then a 1850 to use the system.
Up to now they would (possibly) let you use the service from the 1800
number, that hole has since been closed up ...
