 Basically, the IEDR sponsored the "Irish internet business awards", and
the voting has been on over the last while. The funny thing was, that the
votes were visible on a public page all through the voting, and showed
the various results building up. When the results were annouced, they bore
no relevance to the ones on the site! Of course, they tried to cover it
up, and said things like "Oh, we got thousands of votes by fax too".

 You have to read it, it's hilarious. There was even some mention of it on
the IEDR mailing list, and the IEDR chief got dead stroppy and threatened
things like kicking people off the mailing list for mentioning it (he was
a judge too).
