I've slways found micromail in Cork to have excellent service, they were
recommended to me by someone who has had good experiences with them,
Next day delivery by courier is 5 quid as far as I remember

In the reverse, I can encourage you to not try using the Easons online
ordering system. After waiting a month, I wrote them only to find that
some
books were out of stock (not indicated on the website when I was
ordering),
some out of print (also not indicated), and one would actually show up
via
regular post---in a week's time. For one book that I was told was out
of
stock, I found that the store on O'Connell Street did in fact have two
copies
of it on their shelf. I just bought it there and asked for it to me
part of
everything that I was cancelling.
I'm really interested in what places in Ireland people have found are
able to
do a reasonable job with online ordering. Amazon has been attacked for
overtaking the local bookstore owner, yet I'm finding a lot of local
bookstores have a lot of trouble executing the online sales model.
