Just caught the cross-posting to the lug list.  The SC-2500 is
manufactured
by a Chinese company called Amoisonic and is model #8506.

Unfortunatley there isn't much information on the site but there is a
reasonably
active Yahoo group here:

There have been some problems with recent firmware upgrades but I must
confess
that I haven't had any problems with my unit so far.
