There is an extension to a 3 year warranty. And Apple and Sony only do 1
year by default. Even Dell Inspirons default to a 1 year warranty I think.

Yup.. this machine was much much cheaper than the equivalent dell/sony/ibm,
and has some stuff the dell didn't have.
