Dunno if there would be anyone here to answer you. I think the primary aim of
the list (and possible site) would be related to backend development. You'll
probably find a list dedicated to frontend on the iia (urk!). If you start
talking about GD and ImageMagick, then maybe, just maybe, someone will be able
to help you... :)

No-one will complain about that. But you should complain to the authors of the
tools you would like to see ported to Linux. Adobe, Jasc, etc. Email them. Ask
if they are working on ports, and if not, why not? And knock down their reasons
when they reply, because they'll usually be as inane as this (received on Monday
from Jasc... still waiting to hear from Macromedia):
