> Will people look kindly upon graphics related posts on this list?
Dunno if there would be anyone here to answer you. I think the primary aim of
the list (and possible site) would be related to backend development. You'll
probably find a list dedicated to frontend on the iia (urk!). If you start
talking about GD and ImageMagick, then maybe, just maybe, someone will be able
to help you... :)
> or complaints about the lack of usable drawing tools for linux?
No-one will complain about that. But you should complain to the authors of the
tools you would like to see ported to Linux. Adobe, Jasc, etc. Email them. Ask
if they are working on ports, and if not, why not? And knock down their reasons
when they reply, because they'll usually be as inane as this (received on Monday
from Jasc... still waiting to hear from Macromedia):
> It is Jasc Software's goal to make sure that our great products and
> service amaze our customers. Thank you for contacting us with this
> issue and giving me the opportunity to assist you.
> Unfortunately, our programs require a Windows-based operating system
> (for example: Windows 3.11,Windows NT 4, Windows 95 or Windows 98). We

> example the Macintosh, Linux or Unix systems). I am truly sorry for any
> inconvenience that this may cause you. If you do have a Windows-based
> operating system, we hope that you will consider using our products.

Disgusting isn't it? Like it was written by a puppy or something.
