That's what I'd be inclinded to go for meself Kate, because of the compatibility
probems. But it might be the same with PHP - I don't know, I haven't tried it.
Have a look anyway though:

Also have a look at the stock PHP(4) ini file, which has info on the output
buffering directives.
For an example of NPH scripts - sorry, I forgot to post a link - the Gossamer
Threads Links system is a good example. You'll need to install it to try it, but
it's a good Perl app anyway, well worth a look:

While you're there, have a look at DBman, which is an excellent flatfile
database manager. I ran whole sites using that not so long ago! :)
