[Webdev] bloody browsers

I made a simple two-frame animated GIF in the Gimp, for use on webpages.
In IE, it's fine. Always. With Gecko based browsers, the first frame is
always corrupted the first time it's displayed (known bug). I'm not too
worried about that.
With NS6 on Windows (and only this browser/platform), the transparent
parts of the damn thing are shown in black. Any idea why ? I've a few
other images with transparent bits (probably made with photoshop) and
these are fine. It's stuff like this that make me want to concentrate full
time on shoe-making.
